About

As a hockey player in the military who grew up with skates that never fit, sharpenings that were never even and an all-around lack in knowledge of what was going on on that 1/2" of steel gliding me around the rink I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I learned how to "sharpen" skates working at a pro shop as a teen but now I know this really entailed turning the machine on, grinding a skate across a wheel and charging the customer.

Since arriving at a location with a rink but no real knowledge in professional sharpening a few of us players took matters into our own control.  Having access to top quality machines, an engineering professor and 60 players (control test dummies) and of course, the inter web, we've spent 8 years "honing" our skills.

I personally promise the highest quality sharpening and contouring service available.

Disclaimer- I have no secrets to my work and believe each player and parent should understand fully what is going on with their skates. Any information on this site can be shared, reproduced or whatever except for the JB Skate Service Logos, any other branded logos that may appear herein, or anything that is quote or cited. I have nothing to hide. I have done extensive research online on skate sharpening, contouring etc and there are several words, phrases, topics, systems, methods and practices that can only be described in so many ways. I will not steal or use information from any other sites without their express written permission. Any similarities to any other site, same words etc are pure coincidence based on the limited vocabulary and process descriptions available to modern man
