As I've stated before, there is really no "standard" hollow as each player's preference is different. Also, I do indeed use a Wissota skate sharpener. I've used every major brand, they all have their pros and cons but I trust the Wissota and would recommend the machine to anyone from the pro shop, the pro and the parent.

Many shops around Utica are using anything from 3/8" to 1/2" radius of hollow (RoH). These may or may not be the best edge for you. I personally prefer the most shallow edge I feel comfortable on given ice conditions.
